Making A Comeback: Fiber Art

Macrame is making a modern comeback and I like it.  Whether they're vintage finds from the 70's or newly knotted pieces, these fibrous hangings can add depth and interest to a wall.  I've got my eye on a few.  Now, to find the right spot to hang one.

If you have a bare wall that needs adornment,  think outside the box.  Instead of photographs or paintings, remember that textiles, such as small rugs, quilts and  macrame panels can be artful alternatives.

Moving Mode: Here And There

I think that a favorite part about decorating a space, whether it's for clients or for myself is utilizing what already exists and making it feel new again.

Zoe's Bedroom Update

A Pinterest Inspired Purchase: Moroccan Poufs

After pinning this image, I realized that our living room needed a couple of Moroccan poufs not only as extra seating, but as an ethnic accent in the space.  By buying them unstuffed, money was saved on both the shipping and the actual poufs.  I filled them with extra blankets and towels that were taking up too much linen closet space.  I love the way the leather color and stitched design look with our rug and woodwork.  Take a look:
