Decorating a stairway wall can be challenging. The angle of the stairs, the height of the ceiling and the amount of traffic, ALL need to be considered when deciding how to use "up" the wall space. While resereaching some ideas for a current CHD client with a large front entry stairwell, I came across some great examples of spaces using mirrors, art and color to maximize this effect. The rooms I found on Pinterest are not grandiose nor royal but rather unassuming and comfortable, yet with accents of gold these rooms take on an unexpected depth and interest. Recently, while on Pinterest, I decided to do a search on the word 'Cocoon' to see what would come up. I found many interesting interpretations of the word. Often, the word is used to describe how objects may look to us, and sometimes, the word becomes a symbol for the feelings it evokes in us. From clothing, to spaces and sculptures the word 'Cocoon' translates into many images and concepts. Take a look at what I found:
