'Til Monday

This week's 'Til Monday image  is of a series of icicles cascading from the roof  and eaves of a Victorian home in Cambridge.  I'm not sure what appealed to me more,  the colors of the house or the daunting beauty of the icicles that formed.

It's a bit ironic that I chose this photo,  since I have  seen both the good, the bad and the ugly side of ice this weekend.  More on the bad and ugly later in the week.

Hope you all had a great weekend!

Mirror, Mirror On The Wall

I recently hung  a gold frame mirror bought off Craigslist in the kids' bedroom.  The mirror hangs low on the wall so they can fully check themselves out in the many dress up ensembles they pick and choose together.  A vintage carrying case stores ballerina outfits, police uniforms and train conductor attire.    Take a look below at how the mirror reflects their very own Christmas tree.

This is my 100th post,  and I'm so elated!  As with my first one, your ideas, photos and requests remain key  in keeping my inspirations and concepts relevant.   Please check out Cocoon Home Design on Facebook/Twitter and let me know what you would like me to focus on for the next 100 posts and reveals.  I do hope you're enjoying the blog as much as I am!

Sweet Obsession

My new sweet obsession is from Tatte.  I recently went to a cocktail party and these delectable nut tarts were at the crowning end  of that evening's sumptuous offerings.  I've been a fan ever since...

The bakery itself is classically decorated with rustic wood display tables, vintage metal tables to eat at  and a beautiful chandelier hanging above  them all to create an amazing ambiance.  Thanks JG for hosting a memorable party for our palates AND our eyes.
