Endless Summer
This summer seems endless and I mean it in a very good way. Since we've returned from an extended visit to the East Coast, the West Coast is now our playground. County fairs, regional hikes, outdoor movies, and tours to the wine country (with some yoga thrown in for balance) have been keeping us quite busy. We're also grateful to host many visiting friends and family, more on that later.
Here's to few more BBQ's before the summer is over!

Room Inspiration: Botanicals & Neutrals
Botanicals, neutrals tones and a mix of metals inspire this room's classic, yet contemporary look.
The essentials are:
Tufted Ditte Sofa, Baldwin Coffee Table, Botanical Prints, Safavieh Rug, Marble Print Pillows, Slim Leather Sling Chair, and the Twin Beacons Light.
Heath Ceramics Is: Southern At The Table
Last night was the opening of Heath Ceramics' Southern At the Table event, which celebrates southern culture, design and food. The evening brought together culinary talents that served sliders, gumbo, BBQ oysters, and chicken wings (all super yummy). Heath's showroom was filled with hand sewn textiles for the table by Alabama Chanin, a dinnerware collaboration with Natalie Chanin, and many other regional treats. Take a look at a few images from the evening:
Congratulations Heath Ceramics, Southern Foodways Alliance and La Cocina for a successful event and for bringing awareness to your cause. Click here and here to learn more.
The BIG Italian Event
Over the weekend, I styled the windows of Loehmann's in San Francisco to usher in its huge Italian event that goes public today! Beautiful designer clothes and shoes by Moschino, D&G, Patrizia Pepe, Fuzzi, Alberta Ferretti and Bruno Magli (to name a few) are being offered at amazing prices. Catch a glimpse of the looks I put together and be sure to check out the event. Fall is just around the corner...
Before And After: A Connecticut Farmhouse Part 1
While visiting interior stylist Vera Abud last month, I had the opportunity to see a project she's currently working on: an 1800s farm house. Her approach modernizes the space retaining the historic foundation of the home and honoring her clients' aesthetic. Take a look at the master bedroom makeover and stay posted for more updates on this home.
I love the painted floors, layered bed linens, stacked books and her client's jewelry collection! Many thanks for sharing this special home with Cocoon's readers.
