'Til Monday: A Photo Worth Publishing
This week's 'Til Monday image is of a photo I took for this post. This week, I was asked if it could be published in a science textbook being developed by Sangari Global Education. My children and I are really excited about it!
Entry Stairway: Before And After
A few weeks ago, Cocoon Home painted large tonal stripes on an entry stairway wall for a client. Using Farrow & Ball's Stony Ground for the darker stripe and Shaded White for the lighter one, the entry was transformed into an updated, warmer and inviting space. Stripes are great for decorating stairway walls. They offer an alternative to hanging frames or adding wainscoting, especially if the wall is particularly tall. The graphic nature of the pattern carries one's eye upwards and the width of the stripes fills the empty wall. Neutral colors give this space an elegant and welcoming feel, thus preserving the style of the home and its owners. Take a look at the before and after photos:

Guerilla Knitting @ the deCordova Museum
I heard of guerrilla knitting, but had never encountered it until this week during our visit to the deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum in Lincoln, Ma. While most acts of guerrilla knitting are an expression of graffiti, the ones at the museum are deliberate art installations. Beautiful against the museum's winter woodland landscape the multicolored covered tree limbs are quite an unexpected whimsical sight. Take a look:
Are you a knitter? If you are, would you consider guerrilla knitting?

'Til Monday
This weeks 'Til Monday is a collection of images:
1. So excited to have my re-soled gold tone [cowboy] boots back from the cobbler.
2. Seriously digging this beautiful striped sofa.
3. One should never underestimate the power of a handwritten letter.
4. There's something so appealing about the warm comfort in this room .
5. For the love of salt. I haven't tried black sea salt yet, but will one day. For sure.
6. An Airstream for our son Max so he~and we~give free rein to our adventurous spirits.
