Wall Decals
I'm loving my adhesive flatware from Dezign with a Z. This wall needed something on it for a long time, but for a tight space i was hestitant in hanging art in fear that it would be constantly crooked or knocked down. Now it's just perfect. The site has an amazing amount of decals to choose from and an application that allows you to choose the color of the decal and your wall so you can get a sense of how it will look in your space. When your ready for a change just remove it and pick another. Check it out and let me know what your favorites are.
Small wedding, Big style
Arranging botanicals in a monochromatic manner either in color and/or variety is an easy way to make a big statement. Remember that the vase is as important as the materials you put in them. For this February wedding Cocoon Home Design used metallic vases to off set the heavy wood tables and graphic upholstered chairs.
Good Intentions
I had all intentions of posting this Saarinen Womb chair I saw at Reside as a must have for readers, but I fell victim to an old chair obsession. It's now home with me. What I love the most about it is how much my children love it. So with that said take a look at a pair of Kofard Larson chairs below also at Reside.. Glamorous and comfortable...a must have for someone.
CSA on Top
I've been so intrigued with Brooklyn lately...even more so now. Check out Eagle Street Farm, a fully operating CSA (community supported agriculture program) on a Brooklyn roof top. Designed and built by Goode Green this farm provides fresh produce to local restaurants and has an on site farmers market. This is urban gardening at its best. Take a look at more Goode Green roof top projects.
New season, New blog, New pillows

Welcome to Cocoon's blog. A place to find inspiring design elements, ideas to simplify your home, updates on Cocoon Home Design projects and an occasional confession about my many obessions. I'll begin with my latest...
Pillows. It use to be chairs that got me in trouble but now that our home is as furnished as it can be, I've turned to smaller upholstered items. I just bought some new fabric to recover existing pillows. Its a great way to update your space, keep current with the seasons, and satisfy that "need" for change without breaking the bank. Just waiting for them to be sewn. Keep posted for the reveal.
