GARZA MARFA At Heath Ceramics!

Saturday night, Alex and I took the kids to the launch of GARZA MARFA at Heath Ceramics in San Francisco.  Admiring the collection of leather furniture and textiles showcased in Heath Ceramics' new space was exciting even for our young design enthusiasts.   Max was coveting the saddle leather cot,  Zoe fell in love with a vintage Bolivian pillow and Ben wanted to take home the Southern Sandwich food truck parked inside the building!  Take a look at a few images from our family evening out:

On The Fence: Exterior Accent Color

The exterior painting of the house began and I just love the color we chose, but  I'm NOT loving our accent color selection.   I thought a bold shade would add a bit of fun to the house and accentuate its entrance like it did in Cambridge .  After trying out a least 5 different shade samples (none of which worked),  I decided to just to buy a gallon of yet another color and go for it without sampling it.   This is what I got.  Take a look:

It's been suggested that I mix this color with all the samples I now own.  What do you think?  Do you like the color?  Do you agree that the entrance should be highlighted?   OR  Should I just keep it simple and paint the whole house in the same color?

Decisions, Decisions: Womb Chair Fabric Reveal (Part 2)

Our once bright yellow Saarinen Womb Chair is now a dusty rose!   It's the perfect color to compliment our brick walls and the greenish tint concrete floors that make our home so unique.  I'm delighted with its new look and impressed with the craftsmanship demonstrated in reupholstering this mid-century gem.  Take a look:

With a new coffee table and our favorite (now pink) chair back in the house, it's almost time for the living room reveal.  Stay tuned.

Moving Mode: The Perfect Coffee Table

We found the perfect coffee table for our living room.  One that's large enough to handle the size of the room and true to the "California style"  we're aspiring to create in our new home.  Take a look at the unique cedar trunk that will soon (after the glass top arrives) hold many magazines, an occasional  candle, a matchbox car or two and, for sure, a few cocktails:
