Window Shopping: Bergdorf Goodman

This Monday, while in NYC, I did my usual thing:  Bergdorf Goodman window shop.  My ritual is to get up early before the store opens (most likely to avoid any temptation to shop), walk through Central Park to 5th avenue and ogle the [quite possibly] best window displays in the world.  This time, a bookish Spring was in the air with bold colors, big prints and satiny fabrics.  Take a look:

I must admit it was exciting to see Prada featured (first and second images), since I've been mildy obsessed with the large monstera prints that adorn their Spring 2014 line.

On my next trip I may throw caution to the wind and perhaps do some actual shopping...

'Til Monday On Monday: The Year Of The Dragon

Tonight at midnight, the Chinese New Year begins.   It's the year of the dragon and Bergdorf Goodman's windows are ringing it in a highly fashioned way.

According to Chinese astrology, people born on the year of the dragon are said to be strong, self-assured, eccentric, intellectual, and passionate.

This Sunday, after spending a solo night in NYC, I  awoke early and set out for a brisk walk.  Couldn't help coming to a complete STOP at Bergdorf's windows.  I'm somewhat relieved there was an early flight back to Boston, otherwise there may have been some serious damage done to the family budget.  Take a look at its Spring's window dressings.  I have my favorites.  What are yours?
